The avatar on the start page overlaps the container div for me.
    Here's a screenshot.
I'm using Firefox 3.6 on Ubuntu Lucid.

I am sure that is by design... It is a style effect.

I thought that this is probably on purpose (something that obvious probably wouldn't slip unnoticed). I actually like it, personally.

As the text aligns with the top of the avatar, I'll say it is by design. :)

    I like it. :)

I don't think that's overlapping, it looks like it's suppose to do that. Look at the search bar and how it overlapps the blue bar.

I asked Kier about this at the time, and he said it was a happy accident (presumably a forgotten float container). :)

Does that mean it's staying or going?

It does look good, even if it was an accident I am glad it stayed :D

I must admit I like it, and thought that was how it was supposed to be, glad it's staying like it :)

I don't see why not, it looks stylish, or at least matches the style of this forum. :)

As Mike says, probably a forgotten float. A <div style="clear:left (or both);"></div> right before the </div> of that container would keep the avatar within the box.

Oh Cool. I thought it was a bug. I can't use w3's CSS validator because it seems to be down.

I like it as well. Artsy. Kind of like the top search box.
