As designed Avatar Bug?

Think I found a bug when you upload an animated .gif file (look on the top left it shows the eyes flashing - http://xenforo.com/community/members/davetomneyuk.745/

But if you goto a post - http://xenforo.com/community/threads/installation-walk-through-alpha-build.4006/page-6#post-68651 or hover over the header on the right under username it does not show the eyes flashing.

See what I mean?

It's not exactly intentional, but it's what happens when images are resized. Only the original (which is used for the biggest one, provided it's not too big) will maintain animation.

The original is only 86x100 and 12kb in size or is that to big to keep animation?

Only the large size keeps the animation. All medium and small avs are adjusted to be that size (so they all fit the available space), so they won't have animation.

Animated avatars are not my favorite thing.
