It would be a great feature that will allow to reduce the usage of attachments.
Basically, the user will share an attachment from Google Drive, the same way you can do it now in Gmail.

Until they decide to delete that resource from their Google Drive... then you have a broken link.
There is no easy solution to that - the only sure way that the resources is always available is having it stored locally or on a a site CDN for the forum it was placed at.
 
Unrelated to original scope: Allow images integration from Google Drive.
Same thing goes with an inserted link from anywhere, no?
