Ok I have XenPorta installed. But I have my Xenforo installed at mysite.com/forum. So now it doesn't seem to want to run XenPorta on mysite.com.

I clicked on "Set as Index Controller" but this runs XenPorta at mysite.com/forum. Is there an easy way to make XenPorta run on mysite.com? I want it to be my main page.

Ok I was playing around with it and its working now. Now its time to learn how to get the page set up and running.

How can I insert an ad between before the first thread and after the third thread on the xenporta home page? Does anybody know what code needs to be written or where it should be placed? I think it might require modifying the core files, which I am willing to do but sort of clueless on how to do it.

I had the same issue after upgrade XenPorta. I had to manually insert the version id 53 (addOnData and strVersion) in Install.php to uninstall XenPorta. After I reinstalled Xenporta I was able to do uninstall using Install.php without any problems. I also tried to change install.php as Jaxel just suggested in his attachment but with no luck.
My XenPorta version is 1.5.3 but i just found that current version is 1.5.3a.
