I have big list of categories and forum list and I have to scroll down to find suitable categories or forum. Ia there any way for people to search category or forum list?
I will appreciate any help advice or suggestions
When creating media fields, it would be really useful to be able to choose a container and have the media field applied automatically to all new categories created in that container.
Otherwise, you end up with the painful workflow decsribed here...
When adding a new category, there is currently no option to specify which media fields should be used.
Current functionality requires us to create the category, then go and edit the media field to specify that this categoy should use the media field.

I'm looking for a (new) add-on that can display sub-categories as if it where categories at level 0.
To illustrate what I mean, please check this post by Liam W (rest in peace) and the reply from Chris D.
Is there any way to link a thread to multiple forums or categories - to help users find the content easier?

Something like this is possible?
Thanks a lot!
Something like search forums (introduced in XF 2.2), but for resource categories.
This can be helpful, if you have a category for plugins and you want create "subcategories" for plugin types ("Administration", "Fun", "UI" and etc) with "auto-filling" by tags (for example).
1. Add a forum node without associating it as a child to any categories.
2. Create a child forum node attached to the forum node you just created.
Child forum will additionally appear like a parent forum underneath its parent forum instead of under the drop-down list.
New to XF2 and have been working on setting things up. I see a lot of users wanting to collapse the menu on loading, however I'm wondering how does one VIEW the children under a category. For instance I have set up my first category as:
Simple add-on which avoid subcategories resources from being displayed in the category resources list.

So I'd like to be able to set an individual image for each category on the forum. As right now to set an image at all, you need to set it for all of them. Which I do not want. So is there a way to separate them into individual css classes so that I can edit them individually?
I am new to the admin/owner side of XF, so if this seems like it's a basic question then you'll understand. ;)
