Most members decide in their first week whether they stay. Journey walks them through it, one step at a time.

Most members who leave never come back after their first week. Journey gives them a short, visible checklist: put a face to your name, start a thread, reply, follow someone. Each step completes on its own as they do it, each one can pay, and a launcher in the corner always shows what comes next.

Try it in two minutes, before you buy​

Open the live demo board and log in as demo, password demo2026. Everything is prepared for that account.

Your mission: Your journey is at four steps out of seven. Follow a member or start your first thread and watch the step tick itself, with its XP. Press J to open the launcher.

Native components, so it follows your style in light and dark

What it does​

• A journey you configure, from a handful of steps to a full onboarding path, with ready-made presets and XML export to move it between boards.
• Steps that complete themselves. Avatar, profile, threads and replies (anywhere or in a given forum), reactions given or received, follows, messages, reading a thread, visiting a page, poll votes, bookmarks, and any XenForo user criterion: message count, two-step verification, a connected account, a custom field.
• Rewards per step and for the whole journey. XP with XenLevel, user groups, cards with XenCard, or DragonByte Credits currency.
• Always in sight. A launcher in XenForo's bottom bar with the next step and its button, native toasts when a step is done, a journey page, two widgets and a Your journey section in the activity summary email.
• Journey rules everywhere. Show a notice to members still on their journey, award a trophy or a promotion to graduates, with the user criteria Journey adds.
• Know where newcomers stop. A funnel by cohort with median times and a bottleneck warning, native statistics, reminders by alert and email on day 3, 7 and 14, and a Journey tab on every member in the control panel.

New in 2.0.2​

Version 2.0.2 makes the upgrade from 1.x run without errors, and 2.0.1 removed an empty band that could appear under the page footer. Journey 2.0 is rebuilt on XenForo's own components, so the page, the launcher, the control panel, alerts, emails and statistics look and behave like XenForo in any style. Any user criterion can now be a step, steps count what members really did and every completion is paid exactly once. New: journey rules for notices and trophies, two widgets, required steps with Undo after a skip, a member tab in the control panel, a cohort funnel and XML export. Every 1.3 feature is still there.

Good to know​

Requires XenForo 2.3 and PHP 8.0 or later. XP rewards need XenLevel and currency rewards need DragonByte Credits; every other reward works on its own.
Upgrading from 1.x: install the archive over your current version from the Admin CP, after a backup. Per-group journeys become user criteria with the same rule. "Close inactive journeys after" (30 days by default) now applies: set it to 0 first if every journey should stay open.
