The tour​

A leaderboard for all time, this month and this week, and a My progress page on every phone.


My progress shows what comes next: the next rank, the three closest achievements, active quests and recent XP.


Every locked achievement shows how far the member is and how rare it is, with Rare and Legendary labels.

What it does​

• XP for real activity. Posting, replying, reacting, being reacted to and logging in, each with its own rate and a real daily cap, plus whatever your other add-ons already reward.
• Ranks you write yourself. Name the tiers, set the thresholds, give each one your own artwork and a user group. A ladder generator drafts the whole curve for you.
• Achievements worth chasing. Awarded from criteria you choose, with an icon or your own badge art. Locked ones show how far the member is and how rare they are, and secret ones stay hidden until earned.
• Quests that start again every day, week or month with a visible countdown, and an album of stamps for the collectors.
• An XP shop. Members spend what they earned on rewards you define, including XP boosters, with a confirmation that shows the balance left.
• Progress where people look. A leaderboard for all time, this month and this week with a Your position row, a My progress page that says what comes next, a Level tab on profiles and the rank under every username.
• Native everywhere. Alert preferences, What's new, member statistics, permissions, and user criteria for total XP, rank and achievements, so trophies, promotions, notices, widgets and ads can follow XenLevel.
• An Admin CP like the core. A member XP sheet, the XP log and purchases, tabbed forms with live previews, XML import and export, and a health check on the dashboard.

New in 2.0.3​

XenLevel 2.0 rebuilds the add-on on native XenForo. The XP engine is atomic and built for busy forums: XP is credited right after a post is saved, no lost XP when two awards land together, no double delivery in the shop, no farming by toggling reactions, and deleted content can give its XP back. Ranks follow thresholds, rank groups stay in sync, and removing XP lowers the rank with a reason the member sees. Achievements show progress and rarity, the new user criteria plug XenLevel into the rest of your forum, and the public stylesheet went from 39 KB to 12 KB. Every 1.x feature is still there.

Good to know​

Requires XenForo 2.3.0 and PHP 8.0 or later. It works on its own from native forum activity, and it also reads what Watch Party, Teams, XenPing, XenSpotlight, XenStreak and GameHub already generate, so one wallet covers everything your members do here.
Upgrading from 1.x: install the archive over your current version from the Admin CP, after a backup. Members who already reached a rank receive its user group, Level reached criteria are converted automatically (check them if your ranks were created out of order), and existing alerts move to the new alert type, which members can now switch off one by one.
