This is a fantastic add-on. I recently migrated my site from vB and would not have been able to recreate blocks from my old site without it. I highly recommend it.

I am coming back here to leave a review even though I am pretty sure I have left one for a previous version just because I feel like this is one of my two favorite addons (that are not admin tools) and it doesn't let me down..pretty much ever.

After getting familiar with how the system works and learning to write my own more complex renderers I am coming to the conclusion that there really is nothing reasonable that I should expect this addon to do that it can't.

I have even went out of my way to make the most convoluted and complex renderer that I could (things you would never do on a public facing site...ever) and only as an attempt to see what I would have to do to break this addon and realistically as long as the code I write runs, it can run as sort of an extension of this addon.

I was able to make a customizable feed aggregation widget, slideshows, video player/playlists and now most recently rebuilt a countdown addon to work completely within the framework and have it's own renderer which allows me to make it support an unlimited amount of countdown widget blocks.

I don't want to go into the author here as for me this review is more about the software itself, but I must bring up that XFrocks is really good at what he does and from my experiences and conversations with him I can tell you that he cares for and respects this community very much.

Short of adding entire applications (auctions, store, arcade ect) you pretty much have what you need right here. With a combination of this addon and 'Nodes as Tabs' you can pretty much easily customize everything that I would consider basic essentials for completely customizing your forum.

Widget Framework gives you extensive capabilities to do and show almost anything, anywhere. It isn't just a simple sidebar manager, you can make pages dynamic thanks to this add-on!

Just an example, on my home page (http://orojackson.com/) we use the add-on to manage all content on the sidebar and update the main content block manually via html/css. And due to the dynamic sidebar content, no one expects the page to actually be static/manually updated!

I even use this add-on to manage Google Adsense advertisements. As EQnoble said in a previous review: "There is nothing reasonable that I should expect this addon to do that it can't"

It also comes with the excellent 'xfrocks' support! 5 stars all day, any day!
