The worst is I do everythign by smell. If it smells like its good, its good to me. lol.

Mix in whatever until it smells good, then cook until it smells done hehe

I use my sense of smell a lot also btw... my bench partner at College and I both had a big difference of opinion with one of our teachers, when we said we could tell if things are baked by the smell... he was like "no you can't" We were like.. "yes we can" rinse and repeat

The smell changes quite a lot throughout the cooking process, and I can often tell before I open the oven if something is ready or not, definitely if I have over baked it! >_<

Haha. I'll try to measure things out with the smell of just the spices and then mix it into everything... lol. I also found a recipe I can't wait to try (citrus and herb oven roasted chicken).

LOL So glad I don't have to worry about that sort of thing anymore! Although my son is a messy devil - how can 1 young man go through 10 different drinking vessels and 6 plates in one day, and hoard them in his room until just after I have set the dishwasher running at night :|

Heck, I've lived in worse back in my student house days I do know how frustrating it is though, to want to cook, and find the kitchen is a disaster zone of someone else's mess! So annoying!

Thanks Carlos, it's started quite slowly member number wise, which is a bit of a disappointment given how many people have asked me to do this over the years LOL

Luckily my main motivation is not about member numbers, it's about sharing a love of good food, and the members we do have are just brilliant that way!!

Are you checking your traffic numbers? I suspect you're likely getting more visitors than signups at the moment.
