We have our executive team at work all using Surface Pros (they like being able to switch to a tablet for some situations, like taking notes in meetings, but also need a decent laptop or substitute) and I don't think we've had any major issues. They have some quirks that caused us a bit of support grief at the beginning but we ultimately got them all sorted. They are coming up for replacement in another fiscal year or two and I imagine they'll all want Surfaces again.Got 2 original Surface Books (2015 era - now running Windows 10) and one of the original Surface Pro's (the small one from 2013).... other than battery life (non-replaceable batteries) they've been rocking and rolling along really well. In fact, I use them to control the telescopes when I'm out doing captures.
My new home laptop is an Acer Travelmate (we used to use them at work 24 years ago when I started and only switched because HP has a better warranty and an onsite service option if you buy extended) running Win11 and so far so good. It's no rocket but I just need it for my writing, social media, and maybe a bit of graphic work (making cover images for my stories mostly). I did put more RAM in but that's mostly because I plan to run a small VM to start learning Linux.
