XenForo Forum threads clean up

Hi @Brogan @Chris @Slavik - is there any chance you can delete the threads that have appeared from deleted add-ons as they've filled the 'Whats new' and you can't scroll past page 10 to get to other content.....

Mark the addon release forum as read, then they won’t appear in the list.

Those threads aren’t new, they’ve just been posted in recently to make users aware that the resource has been deleted. Those threads need to remain active in case users have questions or require support so, no, we can’t delete them.

Mark the forum(s) read and they will disappear.

I've just marked the relevant forums as 'Read' but the threads still show in 'Whats new' /'New posts'



Is there an element of caching? Ctr+F5 doesn't make a difference

read threads would still appear there. unread threads would be bold. use the filter option on the right side and save the setting to show only unread threads.



also refreshing the new posts page won't work as it show cached results. you would have to click on new posts link again to generate a fresh result.

Probably the advice will be: use "Filters" "Unread threads" ticked

Refreshing will refresh the same set of results. You need to click on New posts to get a new set of results.

and yes check which filters are applied
