This quick update addresses a category permission issue where classes weren’t matching the correct formatter pattern.

Our next feature update (v2.3.7) is still in development. Since it includes new features, we want to ensure a stable release instead of rushing an update with incomplete or buggy functionality. That’s why we prioritized this patch update (v2.3.6.2) to deliver important fix as soon as possible.

Based on customer feedback, we do have some features in development and more planned, but the add-on is already feature-complete, and we're happy with its current state. No major changes are planned. That said, we always recommend purchasing based on the current features rather than expected ones. If it meets your needs now, go for it! If not, it’s best to wait and see if the features you want get added. 👍
 
Did you change the pricing? I was going to upgrade before but it seems like the price basically buying new for updates annually.

In preparation of the XF 2.3.8 update (being still on XF 2.2.17) I updated my test system to XF 2.3.7 along with the the add ons, to find any glitches with XF 2.3.7 first before going to XF 2.3.8 preview. For the events manger this meant a huge version jump from 1.2.6 (last version for XF 2.2.) to the current 2.3.9. With respect to the notice in the release notes for 2.3.9...

... this possibly is even more important for such a huge version jump. I went for 1.3.0 first (first version for XF 2.3) as an intermediate, as this was the last version that was covered by my license and then, having extended my license now, for the actual one.

Pretty impressive! Especially the new options for complex repeating events are pretty stunning!

Good news for those in a similar situation that plan to finally do the jump from 2.2. to 2.3.: I found a few glitches, but nothing was completely broken on first sight. One massive error, but that was the result of a conflict with another add on (that was not mission ciritical to me) and resolved when disabeling this. May even have been caused by the configuration of the test system, so not by events manger per se. The other issues seem probably rather be tied to 2.3.9 than to the huge version ump from 1.2.6/1.3.0. I will report them over at your site.

Deeper test will follow as I have some errors in the log regarding template issues on the updated system but I doubt at the moment that they are related to events manager.

My testing has now been finished and I've found no issue that would be a result from the jump from Events Manager 1.2.6 to 2.3.9. So I'd say for those still on XF 2.2 and therefore tied to Event Manager 1.2.6 they can safely upgrade if they want to make the jump to XF 2.3. No warranties, but I would not expect issues, based on what I experienced. The latest version is a dramatic improvement over 1.2.6 - a lot has been achieved since the latest Version for XF 2.2. Good job @Veer !
