Well, now I've seen that this notice creates a session cookie. That means everytime user closes browser the cookie is deleted. So a cookie notice (or any other) will show everytime they visit my site. And I don't want that...No problem. Here's a couple of screenshots it'll take you literally a minute to setup.

Oh, that I didn't know.To be clear, the dismiss link will only show to logged in members. The only dismissal method for guests is the close button in the corner of the notification and that sets a cookie. If you want more than a session cookie set, then change this option:

And the Xenforo Notice system doesn't get this done?On my forums the main focus for Notifications is not for new sign-ups (though I do have one notification for this). My main use is for getting messages to forum members about a range of stuff, such as whose birthday it is today, discounts currently available at our shop, reminders about adding an avatar, any important events going on etc.
If you're interested only in getting more sign-ups then there are better ways of doing this. If you're looking at a way of communicating with forum members that doesn't necessitate a forum post and/or needs to be quick and obvious then Notifications is for you.

How do I go about getting the latest version? I haven't received any emails about any upgrades for a while and having just moved to XF 1.2.2 I was wanting to get the latest. Currently have 1.5.1 installed.
