@Chris Deeming ,
I'm running BETA 3 on my apple site, and when I use 1.6.1 the notifications are working fine when I go to the Gallery (it is set to display on page xengallery). When I upgrade it to 1.6.2 they no longer display (with the same settings). The only thing I have done is redone the phrase to reflect "Wallpaper" instead of the default.
It previews from the ACP just fine, and if I remove the page setting it will not display no matter what settings I do. I can then recreate it and it will display again until I point it at the page xengallery.
I am also using the xenFoogle style for BETA 3.
EDIT:
Further testing shows that even with the page setting of xengallery removed it does not display in the Gallery at all - nor does the Guest notification I have set up.
Yeah, but that black is supposed to be Shelley's Angry Birds related theme.It's working fine for me Tracy.
Beta 3 and 1.6.2.
It works with page criteria (selected navigation tab xengallery) and without.
In fact, it does work on your site, certainly as a guest:

Yeah, but it was originally your .bbsmileyabnotification, which is displaying as a gray box now. I can use the .angrybird2notification one and it displays OK. It's all YOUR fault. Didn't start happening till I added in your latest gamer responsive one!When i was a guest (moment ago) I could view the notification fine. Could you have not set the user criteria? Or they were knocked out somehow. Eitherway I was able to view the guest notification which is the christmassy animated one.

Yep, I've even gone so far as to revert the template and then copy the code directly back from your resource. Am in the process right now of removing 1.6.2 and reinstalling 1.6.1 and see if that will work.How dare you blame my gamer fluid notification.Jokery aside, that would not have affected the functionality of other notifications since it's custom css. It honestly looks like the css isn't being applied have you double checked everything? I'm seeing the angrybird notification as a guest but the css is broken for the other parts of that notification.

Yeah, I did it just to get it plain. I keep getting warnings on the BETA 3 home ACP screen that templates are outdated and it points to the Gritter Extra.cssYou shouldn't have to revert any templates it's strictly all css which resides all in EXTRA.CSS.

This was after removing 1.6.2 and installing 1.6.1.

Weird thing... I just uninstalled it 1.6.1... then went and looked in the list of add-on's installed, and guess what was still showing. 1.6.1. I just removed it again and nothing is listed now. Am going to try a fresh install of 1.6.2.I would have honestly kept the latest notifications version up since it's working fine on 1.2 - 1.2 beta3 I'd suggest installing the latest version back on and applying the css into your extra. Then we can take it from there but I honestly never experienced any issues upgrading to the latest version.

@Chris Deeming, Is there a way to make it they don't appear on a mobile devices?
@media (max-width:@maxResponsivewideWidth)
{
#GritterContainer {display:none;}
}
Something like the following might work for you?
Code:@media (max-width:@maxResponsivewideWidth) { #GritterContainer {display:none;} }
Unfortunately not...
I still see the popups on my iPod.
