Xen Notices [Deleted]

Quick question:

If I update a notification, does it reset it as if it were new? Currently, I don't think it does. I'd like to be able to change a few works and save with an option to reset it for those who may have closed the notification.

Also, if I copy/paste one notification into a new one, it adds style tags which changes from the original. I may have my original white on blue but, once pasted, it defaults to the black on white.

No biggies on either but though it might be work mentioning.
The most recent update adds the reset functionality :) Good idea.

Upgraded without any issues as always. Thanks for the update Chris.
Thanks Shelley (y)

So, everyone. The development of this has slowed down, as I'm sure you can understand. And that is simply because this seems to be stable and "feature complete" but - is there any new features you think it needs?

DigitalDoctor, I'm aware you suggested anti-spam features - unfortunately I don't foresee this product being useful for that, sorry. But I will of course consider any other suggestions.

You can't review it? :(

That's a shame. Is there a particular error when you try?

Glad to hear you and your users love it :)

Outstanding! This is one of those must-have add-ons. I've had so much more participation on anything I promote with this.
Ah thanks, that's good to know.

I love hearing feedback.

Do you mind giving me a proper review on the review system?

Do you all have the notifications center tab visible in your installations of the notifications add-on?
Ironically, I don't have it installed on a live install, but of course the tab can be switched off in the options.

Excellent add-on, already converting visitors to members since turning on this mod.

Would it be possible to tie the current add-on into the standard xf notification system? So you get a dialogue box pop up with alerts when you receive likes, conversations etc? Somewhat like the mac mountain lion notification centre.

Thank you fattony :)
Hello!

Great addon, just purchased it :)!

However I seem to have this problem when I click on "insert link"
gr42

All I get is that. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit: Samething with the html button, etc.

Edit 2: I created a notification for guests to register by selecting "user is guest" and nothing else but logged in users(Confirmed for all groups) also see it when they visit a thread. I don't know what's wrong :(.

Unfortunately, TinyMCE doesn't play nice with multiple domains - such as your CDN subdomain.

You can either turn the Rich Text editor off, or edit the templates so that the files for the Tiny MCE editor are served from your local server instead of over the CDN.

As for stuff showing to all members, that isn't possible unless the criteria has been set incorrectly.

What if instead of "User is a Guest" you change the usergroup to "Unregistered/Unconfirmed"?

I probably sound thick - I haven't tried using Notices much.
But what are the main differences between this Notifications and Notices?

This is a Notice, as seen here on XenForo.com:

This add-on doesn't replace Notices, so you can use them both wth no issue.

You manage the Notifications completely separately to the Notices system, but they use exactly the same criteria. That means you can target Notifications to certain users, groups, account states, people who have a certain custom user field filled in, certain pages, certain forums...

Apart from how they look, you can also see multiple Notifications on the screen at the same time, you can also configure Notifications to play a certain sound when they are launched, or have a specific image. You can change the colour of Notifications, their transparency.

Lots of things really :D

I think I'm due to make another custom notice design. *thinks on what custom design to do*
