What Ceri says is correct. (I didn't know a company could force you to pay with a PayPal account with a CC attached, unless you it's just the "verified account" sort of stuff. In which case, they'd surely accept plain CC transactions making the point moot.)Well, I don't got a CC linked to my PayPal account, and with some companies, they require PP to have a CC linked to their account.

That is far and away above anything I was expecting.
I was so hoping it wouldn't be priced out of my reach, bearing in mind the relatively low traffic my forum gets but this is even affordable for very small forums.

Blogged about it on XenFans, and tweeted it to my followers; since it's now time to let them know they can finally convert away from outdated solutions and upgrade their site to the next level.
$100 (or rather $140) is a price that's easily paid, and worth it. So keeping the promise (see my previous thread) about acquiring a license when it comes out is easily made.
Looking forward to running it live in October.

Now all i hope is that I am not gonna miss the 24 hr window... Please please please mention in advance the date and time (of the timezone) the 24 hour window will start. Some of us in the other part of the world may miss it otherwise.

developers have already confirmed that the date would be revealed in time. exact timing is however unlikely. 
as per one of the interviews i read, they do have vB converter in place. but it is still a very important question! i would want to run a test with my forum migrated as soon as i can get my hands on the beta!

Well, you can make a logical guess about time, but we're not committing to a specific time. We're based in the UK, currently GMT+1, and we wouldn't want to release it too late as obviously we need to be around when it goes out...developers have already confirmed that the date would be revealed in time. exact timing is however unlikely.
vBulletin converter is done from what they've said.
There is a vBulletin 3.7/3.8 importer. Support for other versions and other software is likely to appear in the future, but that would be demand driven.
holy cow. no vb4 converter at launch. now that would be nightmarish.
