XF 2.1 Will xf1.5 run with PHP 7.2

We are in the process of upgrading our site from xf1.5 to xf2.10 and have the test site running on the same system in a subfolder using Brogan's tutorial.

Some of the Addons will not run with PHP 5.6 and I want to upgrade the cPanel package to PHP 7.4 w/opcache. The live site is pretty busy and I do not want to mess it up. Am I OK to go?

It depends which version of XF 1.5.

Only the newest versions will support PHP 7.2 and 7.3.

For 7.2 support you likely need a release after January 2018. For 7.3 support you need a release after January 2019.

XF 1.5.2x can run up to PHP 7.3.x.

You can also wait to upgrade the PHP until after your XF upgrade.

Yes 1.5.24 can run PHP 7.2+

Thanks folks. I upgraded the server and everything looks fine on the old site.

I am a little green with cPanel and could not figure out for a while how to upgrade. I finally found that I needed to re-provision the server.
