I suspect you may have added some CSS to add an underline for all links.
Possibly in EXTRA.css.

just did this and still underlined with no customizations now and still underlimed

That is obviously in the wrong place, so it's possibly due to malformed HTML.

This problem is probably due to a bad formation of HTML code.
