Chris D XenForo developer Staff member Mar 9, 2023 #2 I can’t remember specifics because, my word, it’s been a long time. But the usage of the base tag in XF1 came with a heap of other issues and we ultimately considered it to be a design issue and we went with a different approach for XF2.
