XF 2.3 Why does [ATTACH=full] links to webp images instead of imbedding them on the post?

How can i make the bbcode

[ATTACH]

display the .webp image directly in the post instead of linking to it with a "view attachment.." anchor text.

You’ll have to click the attachment and then insert it into the post.

I do have conversion of non-webp images to webp disabled. Does that affect the behavior of native webp images too?
