XF 2.3 Change phrase: delete instead of leave (direct message)

Users (especially new ones) seem confused by the term leave in regard to direct messages. We are often sasked how to delet a DM, and when told the response is usually they would never have realised leave meant delete.

So my question is about changing the phrase to make it more intuitive.

I can see that there will be no issue with phrases 2 - 5, but my main question here:

Is the first phrase (Leave), used in another context? So could changing that to Delete could have unwanted consequences?


A quick template search for {{ phrase('leave') }} seems to show it's not used outside the DM context, so maybe answered my own question but just wanted to doublecheck.

I do know this was brought up previously and seems it was being considered. @Chris D actually mentions it in the context of being consistent with X

Still deciding but my preference is to go with Delete for the button which currently says Leave and the title of this overlay will be “Delete conversation” and explains clearly what that means, which I think the current Leave overlay does make clear.

This is basically the same as X.
