What's New doesn't update with a page refresh

Pressing F5 or clicking refresh doesn't update the "What's new?" list.
Obviously because the URL is hard coded, e.g. http://xenforo.com/community/find-new/14198/threads

The only way to update the page is to click on "What's New?" again.

It's basically a search tied to an id. The only way is to perform the search again.

Well it wouldn't be too difficult to change the code so the url isn't tied to the last id.

That's the point I was making.

I expect a lot of people will be caught out by this as they will expect a page refresh to return the latest results.

Well, it's good and bad. For one, it's quite important for caching as it's not the easiest thing to generate on a big board. But more significantly, if you try to navigate to different pages, the snapshot doesn't move on you. If you have a busy site and go to page 2 of the thread list, it's very easy to miss things as they get moved around.

Cheers Mike, I can understand why you've done it the way you have but it may catch a few users out.

In retrospect, I shouldn't have posted this in Bug Reports as it's clearly programmed behaviour, as I intimated in my opening post.

Possibly a mod/admin could move it to a different forum.
