BS in Game Design. Going for my Masters.

Just being silly. Unfortunately though, I have no college degree. It was fully my intention to continue schooling right after highschool, going for a degree in music education or music performance ((I'm a tubist actually)) --- It just so happens that real life kinda took charge and priorities changed. That was back in '93 --- I'm not sure if ever I will go for a college degree now, but the thought is always in the back of my mind...Lord that just there made me laugh!!! lollll
Depends on what you do, for me it is basically impossible to get a job within the shipping industry without a degree. I also get the feeling that many students aren't as aware of their possible career while studying, never trying to network or even get a related job over summer vacation. I managed to work on several offices, and out of all places, I got hired by a guy I shared office with for one week during easter while writing my thesis. To top it off, I got this while picking up my stuff from my apartment from University. Was the right call aswell, all my mates are now out of uni with their various degrees, and of maybe 20 of them, only 2 actually got anything out of it (arguably one, as the second was pretty much lined up for the job whatever happened). The other 18 are in the same boat as many students. No job and a shed load of debt, and nearly all of them agree uni was a complete waste of time and money.
School of Hard Knocks.Does "life" count is a degree?
Very cool. I have a degree in music ed. Been teaching instrumental music (starting privately, then public ed) for about 40 years now.Unfortunately though, I have no college degree. I'm a woodwind player (sax, flute & clarinet), but lately have been enamored with bass guitar.
I probably don't need to tell you how valuable tuba players are. I feel like I've spent my whole life recruiting kids to play tuba!
I hope you'll be able to fulfill your dream one day. School principals will tell you that the hardest positions to fill are the football coach and the band director. There is a definite need for caring and talented individuals in music education.
