Because I built it back in Dec. 08, before the mass influx of SSDs. Besides, they're not at the reliability or price points that I'd get them for. Looking into a NAS ATM, but thereally good ones are around $1K USD BEFORE HDDs, blech.

256GB Crucial C300 SSD $610 provantage.com = $2.38/GB :)

Posting from the site I purchased the machine from;

Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-930 (2.80GHz) 4.8GTs/8MB Cache
6GB CORSAIR XMS3 TRI-DDR3 1600MHz (3 X 2GB)
1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5870 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11
1.5TB SERIAL ATA 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 32MB CACHE (7200rpm)
CORSAIR 850W PSU (TX850) 80+ ULTRA QUIET (950W was installed for some reason, I'm not complaining!)
24" WIDESCREEN, HDMI/DVI-D FULL HD 1920x1080

And then the usual card readers, blu-ray drives, etc etc, and etc.
