XF 1.5 vB to XF question - can users contact other users via email?

Our forums have conversations & profile posts offered as user upgrades, so they are turned off for regular registered users. In vBulletin it was possible for users to send emails to other users - is that possible? If so, how do they do it, or what do I need to do to enable it?

It's not possible. We never expose emails to other users.

The contact us form only goes to the administrator. We don't expose any direct user-to-user contact outside of things like conversations and profile posts.
