It was more a question of whether that was in keeping with the XenForo philosophy which is less is more.

To be honest I'm not sure which I prefer, I guess like everyone else I'm just used to seeing who else is reading a thread.

I don't really think that this is necessary but since the data supports it i guess it would make a nice addon in the mod community. And i definitely agree with the philosophy that more is less.

Everyone's news feed is not the same thing as seeing who is reading a thread.

You can't sort or filter so you'd have to go through the whole feed and manually identify who is doing what.

The first one is in the forum list page on the right side. Right above board's statistic.
The second one, click into any threads. It's right before the reply box.

Thanks but they don't do what I want.

The first one is only for the whole forum and pages. What about individual forums and threads?

The second one doesn't delete the user from the list after the user stops reading the page.

The second one, you can set a time out. So after a set period of time, the name will be removed. In my case I set them to stay forever.

Could this be arranged? I would not mind having the stock XF software offering this ability as a customizable option, with a warning that enabling the option would introduce some extra load.

If I am reading the plugin correctly, all the names are removed at the same time even if 1 person started reading it 1 second ago and another person 1 day ago.

I loved this feature in vB3, I would love nothing more than to see this again. With the option of showing it at the top or the bottom. With Notices you guys outdone yourselves, hopefully that if you include this feature, you give the same touch of care.

dbtech seems to have abandoned XenForo.
It would be great to have this functionality in the core.
