XF 1.1 User option to disable avatars site-wide

Is this currently possible in XF, as it was in VB? The capability to shut off avatars generally on the user end...

There is no option, it would require an add-on. However, avatars are quite embedded in the software and would require quite a lot of edits to remove.

I'm not seeking to remove avatars. I'm asking if there is an option within the user functionalities to NOT SEE avatars site-wide a la VB? I couldn't find one, so I suspect it hasn't been added yet. I was just trying to confirm here. Several members of a forum for reasons known to them choose to surf with avatars shut off. They can wait.

That would require an add-on as King Kovifor has stated. There is no such function in-built.
