XF 2.3 User not getting notifications

A couple of users have said they don't get notifications. This particular one doesn't have them turned off in privacy settings or anything. Any ideas?

This happens a bit on my forum, and 9 times out of 10 it's because they didn't go the to watched thread and so (as it says in the notification emails) they won't get further notifications until they do.

The other reason can be that the email bounces.

So what do you do if they don't want notifications to stop but just don't follow all of them up?

Well if they don't follow up there is a clear implicatrion they aren't interested - so it makes sense that is the behaviour of the software.

I have one forum where it is because many users aren't really very good at interent stuff and don't read the small large print of the email.

For that forum I use xon's Persistent Alerts addon
