I don't have access to all themes. I can't say 100% yes. Most, it will likely work. I do not suggest using it with UI.X obviously.

How come? We kinda do this by default, you can replace the username with the icon for example and it'd be the same I think.

Like you said, most of yours are by default. If they want the username, they should do the simple one template modification I have in the resources... That was my only reasoning.

It should work with 1.2.4 and up... I don't see any reasons why it wouldn't.

(I only listed 1.3 because that was what I had installed it on.)

If you are talking about the actual "icon", you'll have to enable debug, go into the template modification and change the icon to the one you want.

Yes, if you follow the template modifications, you can see the user bit, just like with Alerts and Mail.

No idea about the look of the flag, unless you change size or something.

I already tried <i class="fa fa-user-o fa-lg fa-fw"> but then is the complete icon gone.

No, their isn't an "open" icon for the user. I thought you just meant can you change it to something else.

I'd say you could edit your templates to achieve that. I'm not interested in doing it myself.
