XF 2.1 Update plugin version

Dear community,
I have created a new plugin just like shown here on tutorial: https://xenforo.com/xf2-docs/dev/lets-build-an-add-on/

php cmd.php xf-addon:create

Question: how to increase the version of plugin so XenForo detects it as upgrade? I've tried to manually increase the version in addon.json but XF detects it as previous one.
