Thank you. So it just becomes part of the registration page then? So if they are then manually approved, do you get to see what they've written in the manual approval queue? On the registration form.
Here's one of mine (note the regex is optional, this just disallows links)
(Field id is required, you just need to make something up)

Yes.Thank you. So it just becomes part of the registration page then?
The opening page is from the Paid Registration addonI had a look at your registration form etc, if you don't mind, and it's very impressive. Assume that is custom styling
So if I wanted to add a tick box for age, how would you do that on a custom user field?
Yes. And you can't resort it I think so if it's a long list best to get it right from the start.I assume display order is the order on the registration page?
Yes. But not the IDAlso is this editable after saving,
I'll leave that for someone more knowledgeable to answer.Having read that deleting a user custom field can have issues (if that is correct).
I think so but you could always send an email. On another forum (Residents Association) I have manual approval and I ask them to ring me so I know they are a human and are a resident. Old school.Which weeds out the ones without real email address. With manual approval - presumably their email address is never tested in this way. They just enter it and go to manual approval. (Even if Cloudflare Turnstile has approved them). So auto registration presumably adds another checking layer (even if they then still go into manual approval for first post or whatever).
I don't think it matters.Another questionIf I have first message going for manual approval. And also have the spam filter to send the first 5 messages (if they contain a link or spam words) to manual approval. Which system overrides the other/kicks in first? Just wondering if it would cause any conflicts. Eg if the first message contained a link it would go to manual approval as well as going to manual approval for being a first message.
That's good! Enjoy it while it's small.Anyway the Hamster Forum is back online and running. Now only has 31 members - all but 3 of whom are former members - who are very pleased it's running again. Had about 850 before but only really about 30 that posted regularly.
