TinyMCE Quattro and its wysiwyg bbcodes

TinyMCE Quattro and its wysiwyg bbcodes 2.7.2

No permission to download
You will have to ask this developer to use the MCE 4 API to integrate the insertion function for MCE4. This addon could be used as a demo.

It's probably a bad English from me. I just meant that if you want you can only use the editor for a few of your users. If you to enable it for all of your users, it's not a problem.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I will link this in the add on discussion for the multi-quotes add on.

cclaerhout updated TinyMCE Quattro with a new update entry:

Version 1.2.0 released

Version 1.2.0 released
  • Only for XenForo 1.2: Add "justify" & "bcolor" bbcodes to automatically match with TinyMCE 4 Wysiwyg functions: "justify align" & "background color". In other words, these two MCE4 buttons available since the begining of this addon can now be used.

To activate the bbcodes, go to the options of this addon. To enable their buttons, use the Buttons Manager.
  • FAQ updated

I forgot to say that you can now add the two new tags (bcolor & justify) inside the "Guilty Tags List" (available in these options "TinyQuattro - XenForo parser"). I will try to automatically modify these values in a future update, but nothing urgent here.

Hello! I love the editor.

I just updated TinyMCE Quattro and noticed issues with the xencarta add-on.

I went from 1.1.3 -> 1.1.5 ( I think) ** Just went to 1.2 and still having the issue.

After the update, it forces TinyMCE to be used when editing a wiki page or template, and nothing loads into the editor. So you are presented with a blank editor, in both modes.

If I disable TinyMCE then it works fine, I have tried numerous combinations of settings with both add-ons and the parser.

Thanks for making this, everyone enjoys it! Sorry if it is some combinations of settings I am misunderstanding.

Can you tell me how is loaded the editor, is it a trigger than suddenly opens an overlay with inside the editor?

If yes, I had this problem with the MarkItUp addon and @tenants confirms it and found a workaround. One possible solution is to include the tinymce 4 main javascript file inside the template from where is triggered the overlay. The explanation is simple: loading with ajax the MCE main JS file doesn't initialize correctly the editor, so this javascript must be loaded before. Why ? No idea. I still have to contact the TinyMCE developers to report them this problem which might be a bug.

If no, I will have to find time to check the code of this addon. You can also try to ask this addon developer to check if he sees something wrong. Now I'm not sure he will reply to you (he doesn't seem to have time to reply very often to his pms).

The editor appears with a page load, not an overlay.

I just tested it with MarkItUp enabled, tmceq dissabled, and MarkItUp worked normally. Usually I have them both enabled.

I can try sending him a PM.

Thanks!

@cclaerhout : Did you change anything in the most recent version (1.2.0) regarding the FF23 problem with the editor in the layover? Because since we upgraded people are starting to complain about that problem again, even if we have activated the option to solve it in TinyQuattro.

We have not upgraded to XF 1.2 until now.

No, nothing. I've tested the overlay thing on XenForo 1.1.x and FF, and the problem is there but with the patch, it's working for me. So unless you provide me a concrete example so I can try to reproduce the problem, I will not be able to do anything. With XenForo 1.2.x and FF, I don't need to activate the fix now, it's still working.

One of our users reported that she is not able to paste something into the editor using her iPad. She always gets an error message to use "Ctrl-V" for pasting, but there is no CTRL-V at an iPad.

Can you please take a look into that? Thank you.

@cclaerhout Bug Report for 1.2.0: In Firefox 24 beta, my last posted matter remains in the TinyMCE even after it is posted and it shows everytime I load any thread in the quick reply box at the bottom. Xf 1.2.0. It was ok in 1.1.5. Please fix asap. The Firefox debug is on.

After an update to XenForo 1.2, all your addons, at least all which are using the official XenForo TMC system (for templates modifications), must be reimported (use their xml file).

I can't reproduce the problem then. Try to disable the option "Automatically restore draft when editor is empty", but for me It's working.

It is working for us too.

But the trigger for the "Will you really leave?" message is a little bit to sensible. If you write something into the editor and delete it, this message will appear (but shouldn't). Maybe it is triggered because a draft is left if you leave up to 30 seconds after deleting a message (after that the draft should be deleted if the message was deleted also)?

Only if you don't touch the editor at all you won't get this message. This is okay for us, however may not be completely okay generally. ;-)

You can disable this behaviour inside the option. Modify this option "Ask before unload?" to "No".

About the paste bug on IOS you reported to me, Spocke kindly replied to me (source) saying that he's working on it.
