This looks like it should be in the bug reports forum to me, and I'm not sure the link to Mikes input applies to what is in post #1 at this time - my guess is that post #1 was edited sometime after post #2 was made.

The first shows an iframe popup of some sort. I can reproduce that within fire fox, IE 8 and Opera. That link to other post was edit several times and did not leave the original information, but you can reproduce this in the same way.

The second one is easily done in Opera/Fire Fox.

1. Type in editor field
2. Hightlihgt chacters
3. Select from tinymce toolbar (Insert/Edit Link)
4. Refresh page

I can't reproduce this, and I did try for a while - and Jose's video shows that it's sporadic.

Regardless, the issue has to do with the way the form got submitted, so I've made changes to it at least reloads the existing page on failure.
