Timestamp + date input fields

My form includes a date field, which is working nice for new entries.

But if i try to edit a existing entry, i'm getting

NaN-NaN-NaN in the form +jquery calendar popup, instead of the date


i'm using:

{xen:date $endDate, picker}

Anybody had a similar problem and wants to share how the solved this?

I am for some reason getting this too... NOt sure what I am doing wrong.
