I can't think of an obvious limitation. There will be increased memory usage from some of the prefix caching, but that should be it really.

I have a few thousand predefined tags/prefixes which the users choose and vote for.

From what I remember of Kier's responses the importer will import only the text-only versions, not the HTML versions as their is no easy way to migrate those.

That's correct.

With some nifty queries though you can quickly and easily replace the text prefixes with actual prefixes.

Can we require a user to select a prefix before creating a thread and select what usergroups that applies to? For instance, I want all users who post in a thread to select a prefix and then if I need to make a sticky announcement not select a prefix.
