IB has done this in the past, but they normally try to quell any xF excitement by trying to start their own excitement and direct attention away from Xf. They're "this close" to moving to vB5 Connect.

Yeah, They were also displaying posters' IP addresses, as each post had debug information attached to it.

But this is a xF thread, so sorry for the derailment. I just have a hunch IB will launch something or come out with discounts, or free kittehs, or something.

I just can't look.

ahhahahahahaha have you seen their test site? http://vbtest.biz/forum/forum

There is a vB5 connect site full of data, and it runs like complete and utter ass.
WTF... 307 queries and 243 AJAX requests (I assume each of those need additional queries) to render the home page? Is that for real?

I thought my browser crashed, but it was just the main home page taking 63 seconds to render (not kidding).

As silly as I think vB5 is, I can only assume there is something seriously wrong with their setup right now

Meanwhile, my forum home page needs 7 queries... :)

Careful digitalpoint, you are treading on thin ice, I posted this thread when vB5 first came out; it was then at a miniscule 106 queries:
http://xenforo.com/community/threads/so-kier-and-mike-mislead-me.36314/ It went south pretty quick, :p

The query count got worse?

XF ruined me, before I didn't care if an add-on I created for vB caused 1 or 2 queries. With XF, I find I'm always re-working my code to make that 1 query go away... and about 75% of the time I do, :)

*Gives digitalpoint 307 warning points*
*makes it 308, whats one more at that count, right?*

Any news on the mediation todayt?

Ha, they threatened to "curtail my posting privileges" yesterday because I nonchalantly posted the URL to the test site in a thread. Obviously they're very worried about the public seeing their mess. Maybe they didn't realize that last week the entire vb.com forum briefly forwarded to the test site url...

Wow their company support forums are sooooooooo sloooooooowwwww now.

Then again maybe I have just gotten used to just how fast xenForo is so I think it's just slow.
