[TH] Install and Upgrade [Deleted]

@Waindigo unfortunately the latest release hasn't fixed the file health check error

library/Waindigo/Listener/InitDependencies/20140612.php
File does not contain expected contents.

Any advice?
Sorry, this will actually only fix it for people who have installed the previous version.

Try re-uploading/re-installing any other Waindigo add-ons you have. The 20140612.php needs replacing with an older version to match what the other add-on thinks should be there.

I ran across this problem also when i did i file check. I just browsed the folders and found that file and uploaded it and i no longer have the problem. Did i do it wrong? I am also showing this add on as outdated, i will upgrade here in a few minutes. Just not sure if i have files mixed up now.

I just noticed that this is not alerting me to outdated add-ons any longer. I had two outdated with no alert. Any idea how to fix it back?

Greetings.

I've installed this add-on and tried to install a style by using "Import from uploaded file" and entering the zip file, but got the following error message:

Unable to copy all files. Check permissions and reload page or upload manually to continue.

Could someone tell me ...
  • which folders or files need to have their permission changed?
  • what value the permissions should be set to?
Thanks.

Best Wishes,

PRODOS

Hi,

I installed this add-on after I had other add-on's installed. Where can I input the url it needs to check for updates, without actually applying the updates?

Not currently possible. You actually have to apply the update. You can always re-upgrade to the same latest version though to get it to work.

Any idea why the "Country Flags" add-on shows as outdated, when it is actually up-to-date? I thought that after an actual update for the add-on was put out, it'd fix itself, but it still shows as outdated.

Here's what it looks like in the outdated list. http://s.rastalulz.com/Vrre
Perhaps Snog is working on a new version and hasn't released it. We're working on an improved algorithm that should catch stuff like this though. Apologies for the false positives.

xf 1.3.1
addon 1.1.7

I believe this add-on is now broken... It seems to tell me when I have an updated add-on, but doesn't allow me to actually update it any longer... The check boxes next to each add-on that needs to be updated are unclickable...

If you notice it says that feature is in BETA so it may or may not work.

A small glitch with XF 1.4? I've enabled updating to unsupported versions, but when I update to a new version I first get a message saying there is no update available along with the option to rebuild the master files. After doing so, I get an uh oh message saying the upgrade didn't complete with the option to try again. On the second attempt it works.

I cannot select any of the outdated icons (it wont let me check the box) to update them. Do I have permissions setup incorrectly or something?

OK - running XF 1.4 RC2 and upgrading to XF 1.4.0. I used the Upgrade XenForo link in the AdminCP and got this:

upload_2014-9-9_7-28-30.webp

Clicked the Rebuild Master Data link and got this:

upload_2014-9-9_7-29-33.webp

Clicked the Please try again link and got this:

upload_2014-9-9_7-30-56.webp

Clicked the Begin Upgrade link and the forum upgraded to XF 1.4.0. This has been happening since XF 1.4 Beta 1.

The addon says that [bd] Widget Framework is outdated even though i used install and upgrade to update it. at first i thought i made a mistake but i have upgraded it twice but it still says outdated. anyway to stop this? thanks

Still having the same problem as above with XF 1.4.0 to XF 1.4.1 so it's not limited to the "unsupported" versions. Is there a fix in the works @Waindigo?
Is to do with your server setup which is allowing the PHP file to redirect you to the install page before it has finished copying files (possibly some sort of cache?). All you need to do is refresh the install page after a couple of seconds and it will see that the new files have been uploaded. Still quicker and easier than having to upload all the files manually though!

This feature is still currently in testing, so there may be false positives. You can disable the check for this add-on in the options if it is annoying you that much. We have some ideas of how to stop false positives like these, but haven't had a chance to implement them yet.

I found out what was causing it. Sometimes when a Person releases a major update it requires that each file be overwritten and possibly folders. I deleted all the folders in that addon uploaded and upgraded manually, this fixed it. This problem not occur very often however.
