As designed Tag people in conversations

when i type @xf_phan inside a conversation, i'm getting the autocomplete "popup".
Should this really happen? I'm curios because the user tags aren't parsed there...
After the form submit, it's just @xf_phantom and not the link to the users profile like here in this post

It is generally intentional, yes. I may add the link as it doesn't mean you get the alert, but there's not a lot of disadvantage of giving the tag as an option IMO.

That's my point
If it's not being parsed as link, don't show the autocomplete (which indicates the tagging).
