Styling something under postbit

How would one go about placing and then styling something under the postbit. Similar to a button or something like below:

Or maybe just a large bar that goes across the entire bottom of the message and postbit container? Thanks

Edit the post template and add your custom code/template after the final </xen:include>.

Or, you can use the ad_message_below template.

My instructions above work fine.

If not, it's either something to do with your style or you have outdated templates.

Hrm, let me see if I can mess around with it a bit then...

I did this to try to put a Start Convo button under the avatar and info box
I got some test text showing up but it displayed right at the bottom of that column, horiz to the end of the post.

When I put the code in for a convo button which I've used elsewhere, nothing showed at all.
