Social Connect (for Facebook and Twitter) [Deleted]

When I make a thread & it shares it, it doesn't share the name of the thread, but the content of the thread. Is it possible to change it so it shares the title of the thread instead of the content?

If I already have a facebook app setup to allow logging into XF via facebook, can I just use that id/secret or do I need to still create a new app?

Whenever I try to create a new app, it tells me that the name I've entered isn't valid.

Cheers

Also is there any issue with linking several XF accounts to one twitter account? (Say if I wanted all our admins to automatically post to our official account).

Is there a way for users to disable this on a per-post basis or do they need to edit their profile settings every time?

Sorry to be a pain but what happens when I make a post in our mod forum. It looks like it'll post that to twitbook as well...?

It does. I found that out when it started tweeting posts i was making in a development forum... thankfully they were nothing exciting LOL

According to Chris's post/screenshot earlier you can disable this on a per-post basis but I see this without the checkboxes

That is the next version...

It's extremely delayed I fortunately.

The behaviour you explain with links is correct. Twitter displays the text from the original link but the actual URL is shortened. This means that when making a profile post, a URL within it will be no more than 22 characters long regardless of its actual length and what is displayed.

Thanks, any (vague) idea of when there might be an update?

Also would it be possible to make it respect permissions and only post links to forums that are visible to guests?

Testing the Facebook part of this and users received the following:

{
"error": {
"message": "Invalid redirect_uri: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.",
"type": "OAuthException",
"code": 191
}
}

Any ideas on what I need to fix? Presumably its an app setting.

You need to check the URL your website is using matches the one set in your Facebook app.

Also, Facebook seems to have issues with some URLs but I think that's usually a different error.

Might need your URL and a screenshot of your Facebook App (not in public) to see what might be going wrong.
