So with Mandrill going premium, what are some alternatives?

How do I set up SendGrid in Xenforo? Currently I'm using the BD Mails add-on with Mandrill. Is it better to uninstall BD Mails? If so, which settings in Xenforo would I use to route mail through SendGrid?

Thanks! It's been so long since I've done this, I've forgotten everything.

The easiest option would probably be the SMTP integration. You can set this up without any addons in XF by logging into the admin area -> Options -> Email Options -> Enable SMTP

Then just add the settings provided by SendGrid and you should be good. Be sure to test it though.

Personally, I think SendGrid would be a very good choice. Mandrill is officially recommending SparkPost though I have never personally used them so can't comment.
SparkPost doesn't have bounced email forward feature and also SendGrid seems very expensive in comparison.

I've teste SparkPost, Pepipost and SendGrid.

SparkPost doesn't have bounce email forward feature, Pepipost and SendGrid have it.

I use Pepipost on one board and SendGrid on other. It's a matter of taste if you don't need many features.

Which would you say is easier to use and better value for money?
