XF 1.1 Skins and upgrading

Hey guys,

I still haven't upgraded from 1.1.3 to the latest version, and I'm preparing to get it all sorted out.

As the custom skins I've made for my XenForo installation didn't have a parent, and the first few used the XenForo Default as a parent, I'm aware they will need to have their templates manually edited.

What I was wondering, is if it would be possible to make those skins unavailable to users, then upgrade the installation, and then tweak them to be compatible with the latest version of xenforo whilst they're unavailable options, without any problems?

Yes, you can make them unavailable as long as there is at least one style available.

The sticky thread in this forum explains what needs to be done.
