I know XenForo has a feature where you can shorten down thread URLs to just the thread number, but is there a way to have this displayed in the user's navigation bar at all times?

So instead of a user seeing, http://multiplayerservers.com/forum...ming-mc-war-nuke-montage-english-fullhd.3549/
They just see, http://multiplayerservers.com/forums/index.php?threads/3549/ in their browser nav bar.

Also, is there a way to clean up or remove the "index.php?threads" section?

Sorry if this has been asked, I tried to search for an answer and had no luck.

Using the search box in the top right corner of the Admin CP search for:

    "includeTitleInUrls"

Uncheck that option and it will remove the titles from URLs.

Just out of curiosity, why do some people prefer excluding the titles in the URLs?

Our community is based around Minecraft so having shorter URLs allows for people to paste them in-game easier.

In the Admin CP search box type:

    Use Full Friendly URLs

Then check that so the index.php is removed.

I prefer to have just the thread number for two reasons:

    1. If the thread title is changed, old links will not show the old thread title.
    2. It forces users to describe the thread link in the message which leads to better quality information. This in turn makes finding information easier using the Search or Google search.
