I know I can add someone else to my existing XF account so we can both access the customer area, and the client areas of this forum.

I just wanted to check - I have persuaded someone else to run XF. Yay!
Do I get them to add my username here to their account so I can install and customise it for them?
Is that OK with your database?

This is an American based project so they wouldn't pay sales tax, is that right? (I'm UK based)

Adding a forum user name to a customer account is just to be able to access the customer forums.
As you're already a customer there's no need to do that.

They can just provide access to their server as required for you to be able to install the software.

They will need to create the account and purchase the software in their name.

    Morgain and James like this.

Adding someone to your account just gives them access to customer forums. You shouldn't need to be added to their account if you already have a licensed account, but it should be fine if they do add you to theirs.

It would be better if I get the reminders to renew the license.
(They are a bit panicky about anything software related.)
    Will that be OK?

Adding you as a forum user won't give you any access to their account at all.
It is purely for forum access.

Can we do joint ownership then?
