XF 1.4 Resend confirmation email

I have a user who edited their email, and now theirs status shows as Awaiting Email Conformation (from Edit)

They say that they did not receive an email to confirm.

I realise I can change this manually, but I would like to know if there a way to (a) know that this email was sent (b) to resend it?

The user can resend it to themselves by clicking on the link in the notice that appears for them on the forums.
