XF 2.0 Removing registration and login using connected accounts

is there a way to remove the ability for users to register and log in using connected accounts? but without actually just removing those providers in ACP?

namely: i would like for users to be able to connect their accounts to all the registered providers but only after they have successfully registered/logged in using the standard method (username/email)

could you maybe at least point me in the right direction then? which template file(s) do i edit to remove it from the login/register pages and popups?
