XF 1.4 Remove recent activity

Hi Team

I am wanting to create a guest user group.

The guests will only get access to the profile posts. They will be able to view the forum contents but not participate.

Can I:

1) make the resource tab available, but when they click on it, it opens up. And displays how many resources are it there e.g. as per image.


But when they go to click on a resource, it asks them to upgrade.

Currently it is allowing the user to view the resource also.

My permissions are set to:


I have to have the allow selected on the top or it won't display the resource tab in the main menu.

Any suggestions would be great.

Hi Brett!

I was reviewing your user group permissions and it seems like you are allowing the view resources. Maybe if you change the "view resource images" to "allow" that might make a difference. Try doing that. I've never actually used that before so I've no idea, just try it and see if that does it

Is the thread title related to the content of the thread?

There is no permission that allows the resource list to be viewed but not the resource content itself. At least not in the exact form you want. I'm not sure what your resources are, but you can restrict the download permission. If the resources are fileless, this can also restrict viewing of their text content (this is controlled in an option).
