XF 1.5 Registered users don't receive confirmation mail?

Today i promoted my forum for the first time and i received complains they didn't received a confirmation mail. Upon i checked under "Users-> Search for users" and checked the box Awaiting email confirmation. I had 3 pages of new registered users who all needs to confirm.

Users have checked their spambox etc. So i tried it out myself, i found no difficulties at all.

Please advice?

Presumably that means you received the email?

If so, that confirms everything is set up correctly and working.

You can check the server mail log to confirm the status of the other emails.
If they were sent successfully then it's more than likely going to be a spam or possibly blacklist issue.

Many of my users confirmed that they didn't received a mail in the spambox and my domain is not blacklisted(did some online tests like http://mxtoolbox.com

Dovecot is for reading local mailboxes. Your outgoing mail is probably something like Postfix and in /var/log/maillog (or fairly similar).

Try looking at a few of the Exim log files. That looks to be your mail transfer agent.

Odds are it's the Exim Mainlog you need to be looking at. After that, check out the one that points to /var/log/maillog (System Mail Log).

I had two weeks of issues with hotmail, live and Outlook domains due to Microsoft not allowing our mail to pass. Since rectified by contacting them.
