I've heard a lot of bad things about the new Sim City today. It's annoying...I was excited for it. I love Sim City. Why does the company who makes it suck so bad??!
Maxis developed it but I'm sure the last thing the developers wanted was this DRM thing added to their product that they slaved over and poured all of their heart into only to be met by angry fans of the franchise. All of EAs doing in their pursuit for greed and screwing over the customer.

The continuous sad thing about DRM, especially those that belong to EA, is that it's meant to stop piracy, but all it's doing is **** all the customers over, while the people who just pirate the game can play from day 1 (often before the official release, even..) without any issues, no jumping through hoops to authenticate the game, and often better support than you can hope to get from EA.
In C&C4 it got so ridiculous that at some point the community manager posted a thread saying something like "well, we get why people are using cracks even on legitimate versions of the game to be actually able to play the game properly, so ehm yeah, no problem".
Gotta be pretty embarrassing to have to post something like that to your legislate customers, basically stating that the pirated version is better..

While building amazing city I came across that I was disconnected from the server.... It than kicked me out of the game eventually, when I reconnected I realized everything that I have built up was gone.... it wasn't saved. The only time when the city is saved is when you exit the game because it syncs with the server.... yeah sim city I am starting to believe is just a waste of time and money!

And that would ruin the game for me. I've actually been playing it quite a bit and for about 60% time it's been running good. The rest it's like I'm on a 10 year old comp. Haven't been disconnected yet.
