Might as well work on my welcome to the ghetto header today.
Does it work yet? I'm not buying it until you tell me it works LOL

I pre-purchased or rather gave payment to my brother before i knew of the issues so i had no way of pulling out of this.
First things first it's slow, I got the physical game (not digital download) so yeah installed that, Already had an origin account so you'll' have to sign up for one if you haven't got one already. Got a couple of errors with not having an account (when i did) product didn't authenticate, then it eventually did but it's frigging slow. Then you have to update the game (ea released a patch) btw the patch is the full game) so you'll have to wait for 10gig to download. Overall, I haven't started a game yet but it's so frigging slow (it's clear the ea servers can't cope) this was 5am I can only imagine it'll be worse during the day.
You are forced I read to do the tutorial, if you happen to crash out half way through (and there's a good chance you will) you have to redo that. Not only that, lets say you create a city on server usa west coast you have to hope you can connect back to that server otherwise connecting to another server will result in you having to create your city all over again. That also said, EA have had to cut some features in that update i was talking about due to the servers no coping with demand so for the time being you won't have certain features until ea sort the servers.
In short, it's worse than the Diablo 3 launch, much worse. If i were you I'd seriously wait, and I would hold off getting the digital download if you do want to get it badly and purchase the dvd at your local store (atleast if EAs incompetence does persist your able to bring it back and get a refund) EA are banning origin accounts if you do a chargeback on your card or they are threatening to if you do which as far as i am aware would stop you playing other games from your origin account .
Definitely wait, the game itself from what I seen is excellent, just EA are screwing the customer like they do.
Oh well, my luck to purchase games with bad launch issue.![]()

How does EA stay in business when they are so hated.
This might explain why they're still in business. *warning offensive language used in video*
